Luméra Beauty – Return & Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made from Luméra Beauty.
We comply with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act (South Africa).

By purchasing from us, you agree to the terms outlined below.


2. Hygiene & Safety Notice (IMPORTANT)

Due to the personal care and hygiene nature of our products (including the Gentle Face Scrub Tool), returns are strictly limited.

We reserve the right to refuse returns where products have been:

  • Used
  • Opened
  • Tampered with
  • Not in original condition

This is in line with CPA provisions regarding public health and safety exclusions.


3. Cooling-Off Period (Online Purchases Only)

In accordance with Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act:

  • You may cancel your order within 5 days of delivery
  • The product must be:
    • Unused
    • Unopened
    • In original packaging

⚠️ Important:

  • Return shipping is for the customer’s account
  • A reasonable handling/restocking fee may be charged
  • Refunds will exclude original delivery costs

4. Defective or Faulty Products

Under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act (South Africa), you are entitled to a remedy if a product is defective.

If your product is:

  • Faulty
  • Damaged on arrival
  • Not as described

You may return it within 6 months of purchase for:

✔ Repair
✔ Replacement
✔ Refund (at our discretion, depending on stock availability)

📌 Conditions:

  • Proof of purchase is required
  • Product must not have been misused or improperly handled

5. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Used skincare tools
  • Opened products
  • Items damaged due to misuse
  • Clearance or promotional items (unless defective)

6. Refund Process

If your return is approved:

  • Refunds are processed within 7–14 business days
  • Refunds will be made via the original payment method
  • Luméra Beauty reserves the right to:
    • Inspect all returned goods before approval
    • Decline refunds that do not meet policy requirements

7. Incorrect Orders

If you receive the wrong item:

  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery
  • We will arrange:
    • Collection at our cost
    • Replacement or refund

    • Order number
    • Description of issue
    • Photos (if applicable)

Do not return items without approval.


9. Limitation of Liability

Luméra Beauty shall not be liable for:

  • Improper use of products
  • Skin reactions (customers must ensure suitability before use)
  • Indirect or consequential damages
